Zamolxe, was the one that made the dacians believe in one God and in immortality. His dearest priest was transformed in THe Big White Wolf (as the legends tells). In ancient times, the Geto-Dacians were also known as Daoi (daos, in the traco-frigian dialect meaning wolf). According to certain ancient authors, this name is related to the role of Geto-Dacians as Protectors of the Spiritual Center of the World.
