About the artwork
“Sainte Berthe de Blangy », acrylique painting on canvas 60/90 cm. In the year 682 or 685 Bertha had founded a convent at Blangy, Artois (now Blangy-sur-Ternoise)... this convent still exists, it could be also visited. Her feast day is celebrated on July 4. With this occasion, I thought to make and give this painting to the convent knowing that there is no other painting with her, only sculptures. In her hand is the « Chapelle St Emme ».. there is another beautiful story on that too..
